At the beginning of this project, we had to decide how we wanted this advertisement to look like. Taking into account the ” lack of time” factor, we decided that it would be a simple advertisement, with 2d elements as scenery in it.
The design stage was a lot of fun, although we knew that our thinking might not be to the client’s liking. Happily, the design for the main character was chosen, just like our way of thinking. The design was fully transferred to production.
The most time-consuming job was to create the character due to the fact that it was to be the main element of the entire animation. All the work (modeling, texturing, rigging) was done in Blender. After preparing the characters and setting the basic look of each scene, we proceeded to create 2d elements including simple animations to fill the frame.
Once everything was set, it was time for animation, simulation and rendering, the most time-consuming work.
Time was running short, so compositing was done in AfterEffects, while sound design was done with Audition. You can see the final result above.
