Discription

The right packshot scene is often the basis of the visual part of a marketing campaign. Often, its effectiveness, recognition and building brand feeling depend on it.

about project

There is no single way to create the most attractive scene for advertising a product. I think the key issue is to know the customers’ requirements, strategy and who the image is supposed to be aimed at.

Most of these Packshots were created for online campaigns (social media, web banners, presentations) and this imposes on us to stick to a few rules.

The first, packshot is the most important. It must be conspicuous, without any doubt who is the main actor in the scene.

The second, knowing that we are dealing with a banner campaign, it is best to choose a central composition. I realize that such a tip is not very popular in the world of graphics, but given all the reformatting, it is better to have the right boundaries to play with. You have to remember to make the image look good in both 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios without any re-rendering. Time is the key.

The third rule, the final render must be large, this also applies to subsequent reformatting, the need to insert advertising slogans and other text.

Fourth, have fun. This is the key to maintaining the right level of imagination and enjoying your work.

As a curiosity, I will write that I present these 3 images together here for a reason. It was decided by the way the objects are distributed in space. In one scene we have distribution through Geometry Nodes, in the next scene I used distribution on an object through Instancing, while the last scene is object distribution using Particles. If I had to say which one I like the most, it would definitely be Geometry Nodes. On the other hand, it all depends on what effect you want to achieve.
